Hidden Through Time was the first published game that I worked on as a freelance as a VFX Artist
I started my path as a VFX Artist in December 2019 (that's where I discovered Unity 3D), and in March 2023 they contacted me from Rougeside to see if I could help them with some VFX they needed. I feel that 14 months studying and learning to be a VFX Artist is still a short time. But anyway, after a few meetings we reached a collaboration agreement and started working together. This whole experience was remote, they in Belgium and me from Chile.
At first I was not convinced to accept this challenge, not because I did not have the skills, but rather because of the “imposter syndrome”. I was suspicious of me, of communicating well in English, of them not liking my work or ideas. But in the end, you have to get out of your “comfort zone” and just do it. In the end all these works, all these collaborations will be experience to improve as an artist, they are necessary, it is impossible to improve if you don't do it.
In the end everything turned out amazing, I loved the experience, and I'm excited to find a video on YouTube where I can see some of my VFX.
With those who I had the opportunity to share in that Studio, I can only say good words, they were all very professional, kind and with a very good disposition.
PS: Trust yourself, trust your abilities, remember the path you have walked and do not forget that "luck" is nothing more than the meeting between preparation and opportunity.
